The Major Signs of The Day of Judgement.
Rasullullah [Saw] says: “The Major Signs are beads in a string, when the string is cut; All of them would fall down”.
So the 10 signs are very close to each other. What are the 10 signs?
2. The descendancy of Eesa ibn Maryam [Saw].
3. Yajuj and Majuj.
4. Three earthquakes, One in the East
5. One earthquake in the West.
6. One earthquake in Arabian Peninsula.
7. Ad-Dukhan [Smoke].
8. The rise of the sun from the west.
9. Ad-Dabbah [The Beast].
10. A fire that comes out from Yemen.
These are the 10 signs of the day of judgement. Now these are not in the chronological order. Don't take this sequence as the sequence of the signs. What is the first sign of the day of judgement? 'Ad-Dajjal' is first. Even though there's a hadith that says: That the rise of the sun is the first sign. But the scholars still say that 'Ad-Dajjal' is the first. But the first sign of change in the universe, would be the rise of the sun from the west. Then after that the universe would fall down.

His name is: 'Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal', and Rasullullah [Saw] says in a hadith that 'Ad-Dajjal' would travel all over the world in forty [40] days. He would wrap the whole world. Rasullullah [Saw] used to talk about Ad-Dajjal frequently. Every 'Nabi' of Allah has warned his people from 'Ad-Dajjal'. There is no trial, no tribulation, since the creation of Adam [as] until the day of judgement, greater than the trial and the tribulation of Ad-Dajjal. That he is a young man and one of his eyes is bulging out. That Dajjal is 'Awr' [One Eyed] but your lord is not one eyed. Ad-Dajjal [The False Messiah].
Rasullullah [Saw] says: That it is written between his eyes 'Kaafir' and it can be read by the literate and the illiterate. Therefore, it crosses the boundaries of language and literacy. A person is a Mumin they will be able to recognise that sign, that this man is a disbeliever.
Rasullullah [Saw] says: That 'Ad-Dajjal' would come out from a land it the east called 'Khorasan'. He will go all over the world with the exception of Makkah and Madinah. He has a Hellfire and he has a Paradise. But in real his Hellfire is Paradise and his Paradise is Hellfire, and that is one of the ways he will mislead people.
Rasullullah [Saw] is saying: “I know what he has more than he does. If you ever live to his time, then close your eyes and throw yourself in his river of fire; because it is cold water”. He will stay on earth for forty [40] days. One day is like a year, one day is like a month, one day is like a week and then the rest of his days are like your regular days. 'Ad-Dajjal' will have the gold and the silver of the world. If you follow him, he will give you whatever you want, and if you don't, he will take everything that you have. 'Al-Fitna', 'Ad-Dajjal' is a big Fitna. Not only is it a Fitna of wealth and money, but also the ability that he has, the power and the glory and the glamour that he'll come with. That's why he's going to attract all of the ignorant [People]. People who are, have a very weak faith, They're all going to follow him. 'Ad-Dajjal'; Even though he has all of this Fitna. No matter how long a lie lasts, no matter how big the lie is, one day it will be exposed. Lies can never continue forever. Ad-Dajjal is all about deception and lying. His deception will carry him, but it will only carry him so far and then he will collapse. But he will not collapse until he has caused so much damage all over the world, that almost the entire world has followed him. He will be unstoppable and no one will be able to fight him. Al-Mahdi would have no way of competing with 'Ad-Dajjal'. Al-Mahdi will be with the believers in Jerusalem. Hiding away from him in their forts. Until Eesa ibn Maryam [as] descends. Just like Allah has given 'Ad-Dajjal' the super natural abilities, Allah will give Sayyidina Eesa [as] a miracle and that is: He will have the power of killing 'Ad-Dajjal' by his vision. In one hadith his vision, In one hadith his breath. That will be enough to melt Ad- Dajjal, and that is a miracle that Allah SWT will give Sayyidina Eesa [as]. Eesa Ibn Maryam [as] will kill 'Ad-Dajjal' at 'Baab Ludd'. This is in Palestine.
The descending of Eesa ibn Maryam [Saw].
The location of his descending will be Damascus. Next to the eastern white minaret in Damascus. In the name of Allah, He is now alive and then he will descend. He will walk in and the Muslims are about to pray. The 'Iqamah' was made for 'Salah' [Prayer]. He has two yellow garments and he will be placing his two hands on the wings of angels. When Al-Mahdi sees Eesa [as]. He will retreat and he will ask him [Eesa as] to lead the prayer. But Eesa [as] will tell 'Al-Mahdi': That the Iqamah was made for you. Therefore, you lead the 'Salah' [Prayer]. This is an honour for this Ummah. That Eesa ibn Maryam will pray behind one of the followers of Muhammad [Saw], This is a great honour for this Ummah. Obviously after that Eesa [as] will assume responsibility. In his name, 'Ad-Dajjal' will be eliminated. After Eesa [as] kills Ad-Dajjal, Allah SWT will reveal to Eesa [as] and tell him: There is a creation of mine that are coming out, nobody can fight and stand against them, so take my servants to 'At-Tur'. At-Tur in Palestine to save them from 'Yajuj and Majuj'. We have no clue where they are. They're somewhere in the east because Rasullullah [Saw] pointed that they're coming out from east of Madinah but where exactly; Allah SWT knows because Dhul Qarnain did his job so well. He sealed it of completely. Rasullullah [Saw] says: Everyday Yajuj and Majuj are piercing through this barrier, When [It's] night; When they're done with their work and they have just a little bit left; Their leader would say: Let's come back and finish it tomorrow, They come tomorrow; Next day and they find out that it was sealed as if it was new, Rasullullah [Saw] says: Until one day they would dig through it and then their leader will say: Tomorrow we're going to come back and 'InShaAllah' [If Allah wiils] we're going to complete digging it. So they would say: “InShaAllah'. Next day they will come and they will open up the seal and they would come out. When Yajuj and Majuj come out; They would pour from every direction. From everywhere they're going to pouring down. Swarming from every direction. So their numbers are huge. They would drink the water of the earth. People will run away from them. And then when Yajuj and Majuj think that they have killed everyone. They would point their weapons towards the sky and they would shoot. So their arrows would come back with blood on them. They would say: We've killed everybody on earth and now we've killed everyone in the heavens; arrogance. So Eesa [as] will take all of the believers and they would hide in Jerusalem. Yajuj and Majuj are going to surround the believers. They're going to besiege them and this siege will be so hard on them. That a head of an Ox would be more value to them. Than one hundred dinars is to you now. Now 100 dinars is the time of Rasullullah [Saw] was a lot of money. Eesa [as] would make dua and the Muslims will make dua. So Allah would destroy Yajuj and Majuj by sending on them worms. Insects. That would enter in to their necks and kill them. It would be and epidemic that would kill them all. The whole nations of Yajuj and Majuj. These two tribes would be exterminated. That does not solve the problem yet. Eesa [as] and His followers; they would come out from Jerusalem but there is not a spot on the face of the earth. That is not covered by the decomposed bodies of Yajuj and Majuj. There's so many of them and they're spread all of the world. That the whole earth is contaminated. Because of the smell of their rotten bodies. Therefore, Eesa [as] would have to make dua to Allah SWT again to help them. Yajuj and Majuj are harm to the Muslims dead and alive. Eesa [as] and the Muslims; They would make Dua. So Allah would send birds that are so big. Their necks are like the necks of camels. They will pick up these bodies and throw them away and then Allah would send rain that would wash the earth and leave it clean as a mirror and Allah would give orders to the earth to produce its fruits. This means that the blessings already in the earth but it's hidden because of our sins.Eesa [as] will break the cross. This symbolises his disapproval of the 'Shirk' that happened in his name and he will kill the pig. He will rid the earth form pigs and he will abandon 'Jizya' [Tax money that they pay per head]. Eesa [as] will not accept it anymore because Eesa [as] will only give the people the choice of Islam or war. And then Rasullullah [Saw] says: There will be so much money, People would pass next to it and nobody will take anything. One 'Sajdah' [Prostration] will be more valuable to those people than the world and everything in it. Because they know that; that's the end of the world. He will be the one who will achieve the final victory of Islam and peace would descend on earth. Every single one of the people of the book will believe in Him before his death. He will be a witness over them on the day of Judgement. All of the religions Allah SWT will destroy in his time except for Islam. 'SubhanAllah' This is a blessed 'Ummah'. It started with a 'Nabi' [Prophet] and ends with a ‘Nabi' [Prophet].
Rasullullah [Saw] says in the hadith; He [Eesa as] will stay for 40 years but there's another hadith that says: That he [Eesa as] will stay for 7 years and both hadith are authentic. Both of them are in 'Muslim'. One of them says: He would stay for 40 years. One of them states that: He will stay for 7 years. The scholars found a way to explain this. 40 years is total age on earth. He [Eesa as] already lived for 33 years on earth and then he has 7 years left in his life and He will spend these 7 years with this Ummah. Then he would pass away and the Muslims would lead the 'Salah' on him and then a wind would blow from 'Ash-Sham' and it would take souls of every believer. Even the ones who have only a single grain of believe in their heart, they would die. That's the end of the story of this world. Following that there will remain the 'Munafiqeen' [Hypocrites] and worst of people and Rasullullah [Saw] says: and these are the ones, whom the hour would occur on. The Day of Judgement will occur on these people. That's the end of the world.
Signs number four, five and six which is the sinking of earth.
It could be an earthquake. That is so violent that part of the earth is swallow. One in the east, one in the west and one in the Arabian Peninsula. The earth would shake and part of it would be swallowed. And these are major earthquakes, it could be an earthquake that could take all of the Western United States off the map. These events don’t just happen like that. Like most of the people think. These events are predestined by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. It is punishment for the people for the sins. Allah is testing the people. There once happened an earthquake in Madinah. It happened again. It happened a third time. Very small earthquake.
Umar ibn Khattab [ra] stood on the Mimber [Pulpit] and said to the people of Madinah: “Either you stop sins or I’m gonna leave Madinah.” Umar ibn Khattab [ra] understood that, this is because of the sins of people. If it was now; they would say that the first one was an earthquake and number two and three were aftershocks.
Umar ibn Khattab [ra] stood on the Mimber [Pulpit] and said to the people of Madinah: “Either you stop sins or I’m gonna leave Madinah.” Umar ibn Khattab [ra] understood that, this is because of the sins of people. If it was now; they would say that the first one was an earthquake and number two and three were aftershocks.
We will see it. We’ll also feel it. It will enter our noses. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala speaks about it in the Quran ‘Al-Kareem’. Then watch for the day when the sky will bring a visible smoke. Covering the people. This is a painful torment and punishment. People will say “Ya Allah turn away and remove this torment and punishment from us; we are believers.” Some hadiths say “Dark some in the air.” It will come. Every human being will breath it. Will come like a flu upon the believer and a disaster and illness upon the disbeliever. Disaster; death; severe illness and make them go unconscious. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is the controller of everything. The prophet [saw]; he mentions that once the ‘Dukhan’ appears; Allah would not accept repentance. Because that time everyone’s going to repent “Ya Allah forgive me ya Allah; Have mercy upon me.” The gates of repentance will shut. It will shut and no longer open.
The rise of the sun from the west.
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala say “When some of the signs of Allah approach; Then a soul that did not believe; their belief will not do them any good.” Meaning that; if somebody becomes a Muslim in that moment. Their Islam is not accepted anymore. When the sun rises up from the west. People know that; that’s the end. Therefore, it is just like dying. When a person sees the angel of death; Can they make ‘Tawbah’ [Repentance]? it’s too late. When the sun rises from the west people know that it’s the end of the world and that is when the door of ‘Tawbah’ would be closed.The Prophet Muhammd [saw] tells us “That night where the sun will rise from the west will be a very lengthy and long night.” That night that the sun will rise from the west is as long as three nights. The righteous believers and the pious believers who wake up for ‘Tahajjud’ and pray their ‘Nafl’ prayers. Goes to sleep, wakes up. He realises the night is still long. So he prays to Allah again and yet ‘Fajr’ has now even entered and then he sleeps again, wakes up; thinks that ‘Fajr’ is coming about to enter; prays again to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala; sleeps again; Wakes up; it’s still not ‘Fajr’, So he realises there’s something there. People realise there’s something unordinary here. Something abnormal here. Something unusual here. And that’s when people realise that the day of judgement is near. At that moment people resort to the Mosques but when the sun comes out of the west. Who will going to call? And people realise that; it’s a different day. Where they start seeing the sun rising from the west. ‘Allahu Akbar’; What a day! Everyone wants to repent to Allah. Everyone now wants to become a believer. Everyone wants to return back to Allah. Everyone wants to seek Allah’s forgiveness. TOO LATE! YOU HAD YOUR CHANCE. No more repentance. The doors and the gate of repentance are shut.
Ad-Dabbah [The beast].
“And when the decree of Allah or the word of Allah befalls them. We would send out to them a beast from the earth. It would talk to them.” And then Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says: “That the people do not believe in our signs.” What will happen? This beast would come out and it would talk to people; You are a believer; You are a non-believer and it would stamp them. It would stamp the face of the believer and it would stamp the face of the disbeliever.Al-Qurtubi says: The words of Allah befalls them means; It is time for the punishment of Allah of them. Because of their extremism in corruption and evil. Because they ignored the signs of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and they did not contemplate in them.
Ibn Masud says: The word of Allah comes on them is when the scholars die, the knowledge disappears and Quran is lifted.
Rasullullah [saw] says: Three things when they occur; no soul would benefit from any ‘Imaan’; if they believed after that; One of them is the rise of the sun from the west. Number two ‘Ad-Dajjal’. Number three “Ad-Dabbah [The beast]”. It is too late to believe after that. In the time of ‘Dajjal’; we explained it… because there’s so much ‘Fitna’ in his time. If you’re not prepared before. You’re not going to be able to prepare yourself in the time of ‘Dajjal’ and in the time of the beast; it’s because after that people are already going to be stamped. There’s more details tin the following ‘Hadith’.
Rasullullah [Saw] says: The beast would come out carrying the seal of Suleiman [as] and the stick of Musa [as]. It would mark the face of the believer with the stick of Musa [as] and it would stamp the face of the non-believer with the seal of Suleiman [as].
Rasullullah [saw] says: That people would be eating together and they would say: [Give Me]; hand be this believer; hand me this non-believer; it’s written. Everybody has it written on their face. People will call each other: “Ya Kaafir [O Disbeliever]; Ya Mu’min [O believer].” Because everybody has their stamp on their faces.
Sheikh Ahmed Shakir says” The hadith is authentic but Al-ALbani says: it is ‘Daief [Weak]” because there’s one of the narrator of the Hadith Al-Albani considers him to be a weak narrator but Ahmed Shakir considers him to be strong and he says: That At-Tirmidhi and Ahmad have narrated from this man. “Wallahu Alam [And Allah knows best].”
The final sign of the day of judgement is the fire.
Rasullullah [Saw] says: In the end a fire would come out from Yemen; sending the people towards “Al-Mahshar”.This is a fire that is going to push all of the people of the earth towards the holy land. This fire is going to continuously follow the people and the people are going to be running away from it and whoever stays behind; the fire would burn them. It follows in the day time; sleeps with them at night. Never leaves them alone. Where it will come out from? From Yemen. Particularly from the Baisin of Adn. Adn is laying in [A]; The crater of a volcano. There are many craters of volcano in Adn. Adn is a city in Yemen on the sea and there is a lot of craters in it.
Rasullullah [saw] said: That the fire will come out of this crater and it will send the people towards: ‘Al-Mahshar’.
Al-Mahshar is in Ash-Sham.
Rasullullah [saw] towards the holy land and said: This is where you would be assembled.
Ash-sham is the area of Syria, Palestine, Jordan and Lebanon and the most holy of it is Jerusalem [Baitul-Maqdis]. There are many hadith where Rasullullah [saw] praised that land because that is the land of Jihad until the day of judgement. There’s continuously Jihad in that land. In the beginning it was against the Roman Empire. Then it was Jihad against the crusaders and then Jihad against the Tatar. Then it is now Jihad against Al-Yahood [The Jews] and then it is Jihad against the Romans again and then it is against Ad-Dajjal. That is where the Muslim are camping for Jihad. In one hadith. Rasullullah [saw] says in Musnad Imam Admad.
Rasullullah [saw] says: I was sleeping and I saw a dream. Where the pillar of the book [Al-Quran].
Quran was represented in a form of a pillar; a column.
Rasullullah [saw] says: The pillar of the book; the column of the book was taken away from me and I thought it would be taken away from me. So I followed it [in] my vision. I was staring at the pillar of the book and then I saw it placed in Ash-Sham.
Then Rasullullah [saw] says: In the time of Fitan.
In the time of trials and tribulations; That is where Imaan will be.
In another hadith Rasullullah [saw] says: When I was in the trip of Al-Isra; I saw a white pillar. Like a banner of war; taken away from me and I asked the angels” Where are you taking it?” They said we are going to take it and place it in Ash-Sham.
Now this assembly of people to Ash-Sham. Is it the assembly ‘Al-Hasr’ of the day of judgement? Or is it a different ‘Hashr’. Some of the scholars like Al-Gazzali and others They said this is the assembly of the day of judgement but the majority of the scholars say that there is two Hasr. There’s one assembly in Duniya [World] and then there’s another assembly in Aakhirah [Hereafter]. So they say this is an assembly in Duniya [World]. In the end of the world; people are going to be assembled to the holy land and then that will be the end of the world and then the Hashr of the day of judgement is going to be a different place when the earth will be replaced. And the day of judgement; the earth and the sun and everything will be different ‘Wallahu Alam’. There’s a different of opinion of that. This is the end of the signs of the day of judgement.
